The objective of the Network is to establish the sustainable platform for technology transfer between German and Russian SMEs and research organizations.
Cooperation Network is realized within the framework of the Intergovernmental Agreement on cooperation in Life Science and Biotechnology . From the German side the German‐Russian Cooperation Network Biotechnology 2011‐2013 funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).
The consulting offer of Cooperation Network addresses German and Russian experts from science and business, focusing especially on small and midsize enterprises interested in cooperating with institutions and partners in the field of biotechnology.
The service offerings of the cooperation network include the business partners search, organization of research and educational events, project management and setting up businesses.
The East‐West Science Centre at the University of Kassel, Hessen takes over the coordination of the German part of the network as well as for cooperation in the academia research field whilst the Cluster Industrial Biotechnology (CLIB2021) is the coordinating body for R&D cooperation between enterprises, the University of Bielefeld and others.
Russian National Contact Point "Biotechnology", the A.N. Bach Institute of Biochemistry acts as the coordinator on the Russian side.
The partners of the Cooperation Network in the Russian regions are the Institute of Cytology and Genetics, the Siberian Division of the Russian Academy of Science (Novosibirsk, Russia), Michurinsk State Agricultural University (Michurinsk, Russia).
